Employment.
Description
We regularly advise both employers and business executives on various aspects of employment law. Our areas of expertise include dismissals, severance packages, non-compete and non-solicitation clauses, as well as the review of internal policies and employment contracts.
Our lawyers frequently appear before judicial courts, the Administrative Labour Tribunal, and the Canada Industrial Relations Board. They have the necessary experience to handle all types of cases, including injunctions. Our expertise allows us to effectively advise our clients, including in situations requiring swift intervention.
Among our representative mandates is the representation of a former president of the Business Development Bank of Canada in a case which received significant media coverage. We have also acted for several municipalities in sensitive matters related to the dismissal of chiefs of police or senior police officers in special proceedings brought under the Police Act.
