His practice focuses on commercial litigation, class actions, product liability, insurance law and securities litigation. His experience in class actions has lead him to represent major corporations and company directors and officers.

Before joining IMK, Jean-Michel served as a clerk at the Supreme Court of Canada for the Honourable Ian Binnie and practiced commercial litigation at Sullivan & Cromwell LLP in New York City.

Jean-Michel is the co-author of three chapters pertaining to various privileges, as well as one of the chapters in the JurisClasseur Québec (Procédure Civile II) on class actions, all of which have been cited by Quebec Courts. He was named one of the Top 25 Most Influential Lawyers in Canada by Canadian Lawyer in 2025.
