Vanessa practices in civil, commercial, and constitutional litigation, as well as in administrative law. After obtaining a Bachelor of Law and a Juris Doctor in North American Common Law from the University of Montréal, Vanessa articled and clerked at the Quebec Court of Appeal with the Honourable Stéphane Sansfaçon. She then worked as a judicial law clerk to the Honourable Suzanne Côté at the Supreme Court of Canada.
Boily v. Canada: Boily in the first ever Charter damages award against the federal government for extraditing an individual who faced a substantial risk of torture, contrary to s. 7 of the Canadian Charter.
