Song-Ly joined IMK in the summer of 2023 as a law student. She completed her B.C.L./J.D. degrees at McGill University in 2025.

While at McGill, Song-Ly interned at the Raoul Wallenberg Centre for Human Rights and represented her faculty at the Warren K. Winkler Class Actions Moot where her tandem won Best Defendant Factum. She also convened a student-initiated seminar at McGill entitled “Introduction to the Law of Peace” and was a student clerk at the Court of Appeal of Québec.

Concomitantly with her studies, Song-Ly worked as a research assistant at McGill and for the University of Toronto’s Citizen Lab. In 2026, she will article at the Federal Court under the Honourable Associate Chief Justice Martine St-Louis.

Song-Ly is looking forward to being involved in a variety of files, particularly those pertaining to civil litigation, class actions, and administrative and constitutional law.
