Lara obtained her B.C.L./J.D. from McGill University in 2025, where she was awarded the Aimé Geoffrion Medal. During her studies, she received numerous awards, including the I.M.E. scholarship in commercial law. Lara represented her university in the Pierre-Basile Mignault moot court competition and was awarded second place for best oral argument.
Before pursuing her law studies, Lara obtained her Pharm.D. from the University of Montreal. She has been a member of the Ordre des Pharmaciens du Québec since 2012 and continues to work part-time as a pharmacist in a family medicine group. Each year, she gives numerous lectures to health professionals in various therapeutic fields.
In parallel, Lara does pro bono work for legal clinics whose mission is to combat certain forms of discrimination and racism. She plans to join the IMK team in September 2026 as an articling student. Her areas of interest are administrative law, constitutional law, disciplinary law and commercial litigation.
