Étienne is a student at McGill University’s Faculty of Law, where he is pursuing the BCL/JD dual degree and a minor in history. As part of his studies, he has worked as an editor for the McGill Law Journal, as a teaching assistant, and as a research assistant to professors on environmental and constitutional legal issues. He is the recipient of the Stephen A. Scott Award, given to a student for excellence in the study of constitutional law.

Before joining IMK, Étienne also worked as a law student in the Quebec public service.
