David’s practice covers all areas of civil and commercial litigation, with special emphasis on real estate and property law, construction disputes and insurance litigation. Over the years he has also developed an expertise in estate law. David’s clientele is diverse, and includes companies in the public and private sectors, government bodies and municipalities as well as individuals.
David is an experienced litigator, and he has conducted several complex litigations, trials and appeals before Québec courts at all levels. He has also acted for parties in the context of commercial arbitrations. He began his legal career at IMK in 2010 and is a partner of the firm since 2018. David is also actively involved in various professional associations and committees including the recruitment committee at IMK.
Attorney General of Canada v. Gestion 555 Carrière Inc.: AGC in several complex real estate litigation related to the Louis St-Laurent building, in Gatineau.
Céleb Construction Ltée v. Ville de Montréal : VDM in a construction dispute related to the expansion and modernization of the Atwater Water Treatment Plant.
Hydroméga Services inc. v. EDF Énergies Nouvelles S.A.: EDF in a dispute on the interpretation of agreements made in the context of a wind farm development project in Quebec.
Rémi Vigneault v. Réal Bouclin : Vigneault in a shareholders’ dispute regarding his holdings in Groupe Sélection.
Safran Landing Systems v. Bombardier inc.: companies of the Safran group in a litigation against Bombardier in the aeronautics industry.
Indigo Books & Music Inc. v. Immeubles Régime XV Inc.: Indigo in injunction proceedings dealing with the interpretation of an exclusivity clause to secure Indigo’s position in a large lifestyle centre.
Garmaise v. Nun’s Island Investments Inc.: Nun’s Island Investment Inc. in a real estate litigation on the interpretation of a commission agreement dating back to the 1960s and the initial development of Nun’s Island.
