Eleni Yiannakis appointed to the Superior Court.

IMK is very proud to announce the appointment of Eleni Yiannakis as a judge of the Superior Court of Quebec.

This appointment is the culmination of a career in private practice spanning over 20 years. Eleni began her career with a national law firm where she practiced for over 15 years. She then joined IMK in 2016 where she developed a commercial litigation practice including class actions, injunctions and fraud disputes, among others. Accustomed to long trials, she has pleaded before all levels of court in Quebec as well as before the Supreme Court of Canada. Always mindful of the next generation of lawyers, she taught the course on obligations at the École du Barreau from 2007 to 2018 and then became involved in the committee for the recruitment and mentoring of student trainees and young lawyers. Recognized as a leading lawyer by Lexpert, Best Lawyers and Benchmark Litigation, she was named this year as one of Canada’s top 100 women in litigation.

Her listening skills, experience and hard work will undoubtedly benefit all litigants. We wish Eleni the best of luck in this new challenge.
